EFA345 Melt Electrospinning
Melt Electrospinning
The Melt Electrospinning system is a special accessory for E-Fiber EF100/EF200/EF300, designed for combining the electrospinning/electrospraying technology with 3D printing capabilities. The polymer supply system consists of a hot extruder, eliminating the need for solvents since the extruder is loaded with pellets. The system includes an XY stage with a spinneret support, with an easy interface with E-Fiber equipment. Melt electrospinning is a micro-additive manufacturing technique that uses electric fields to continuously print micro- and nanofibers onto moving collectors. The systems accepts standard G-Code files or operates in manual mode.
Description
The melt electrospinning accessory can be installed on both EF100/EF200 and EF300 systems, allowing users to exploit melt electrospinning technology—an advanced, solvent-free method that uses heat to melt polymers and create precise micro or nanofibers—inside a standard electrospinning/electrospraying system. All motion parameters can be controlled via the touchscreen, and the plate target can be manually rotated by 45, 90, 135, and 180 degrees for different pattern orientations.
